Intimacies and Intricacies
An experiential process of the intricacies of the human condition, one that explores the smaller neural sensory constructions and their workings. The work is a sensory space that uses edible bubbles and smart water-pots to induce a certain intimacy between you, the art, the artist and the other. The aesthetics of the work are developed to strengthen relational processes between objects, subjects and the two among one another. There are bubbles to taste, water charged with 'Sanmaya' to drink and an interactive, fragrant floor to walk over.
The recipe of the bubbles are designed to insert a form of libido within the audience, by the power of watermelon, pomegranate and saffron there prevails a particular intimacy constructed by the artist for the viewer. These ingredients have a strong historical past to be known for improving one's sexual health.
Masaru Emoto, a Japanese theorist believes that water is exceptionally receptive to language and the environment it finds itself in. Progressive, positive or negative, regressive language when subjected to water, is assimilated accordingly and indefinitely charges the liquid with the meaning of the latter. The environment of the water according to Emoto charges the water similarly and consuming this charged water is the same as consuming the meaning of the language subjected to it.
The floor of the space is laid with fragrant items that pursue the audience into a state of relaxation. Through the sense of smell and the combination of dried lavender, rosemary, sage, clove, thyme, coriander, cardamom and dried foliage, the viewer is set into a condition of quietude and respite. Walking over these materials contributes to the fragrant atmosphere of the space.
